Even though it is the middle of summer, there was still a nice group at the gathering today.

Want to help? Donations and/or Drop in Classes at Sherman Hospital

During March and April of 2011 three "drop-in" classes were held at Sherman Hospital. Hospital staff, volunteers and friends were participants. One person brought her mother and another brought her mother-in-law to share in this wonderful time together of learning and sharing. We hope to do this again in the fall -- in the meantime, patterns are available on request and I will try to help anyone as needed. Hopefully there will be many finished shawls to be give to those in need.If you don't crochet or knit and still would like to be a part of this, donations of yarn are always more than welcome. To crochet one shawl it takes 3 skeins of Lion Brand HOMESPUN yarn (all the same color and dye lot). Also one of the ONE POUND skeins of 4 ply yarn will make one shawl.

FALL DROP IN CLASSES AT SHERMAN HOSPITAL WILL BE HELD MONDAY, OCTOBER 17TH AND MONDAY, OCTOBER 24. Time for both 1;30 to 4:30 in the after noon and will be held in the Cafeteria area. Items needed to complete a prayer shawl -- Crochet hook size N and 3 skeins of Lion Homespun yarn -- right now, the best price for the Homespun yarn is Walmart.
